AI is designed to be Helpful, Harmless, and Honest \u2014 to treat everyone alike. This keynote turns that premise over and asks: what happens when AI becomes a tool \u201cfor the individual\u201d? The evidence comes from works produced at the Department of Art Science, Osaka University of Arts, and shown at Ars Electronica and elsewhere: Sweet Orders, where kindly optimization ends with the visitor discovering that the thing being optimized is themselves; a group of works that hand asymmetries such as harassment and stuttering over to AI instead of to people; a new piece in which an AI bartender favors only the customer who arrived first; and a further new piece in which the same fifteen seconds becomes three different events depending on who observes it. Science fiction narrates the future; these works let visitors live it in their own bodies. Simulated experience surfaces what narrative leaves out \u2014 plurality, ambivalence, the complicity of enjoying being chosen. That is how art gets ahead of the problem. Beyond generation, what matters is not what AI can generate, but that we think about whom it generates for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
