超越生成之後：若把AI當成「為個人」的工具，會發生什麼？
超生成のあとで——AIを「個人のための道具」にすると何が起こるか
After Generation: What Happens When AI Becomes a Tool “for the Individual”
演講摘要：
AIは「役に立つ（Helpful）・無害（Harmless）・正直（Honest）」——誰に対しても同じようにふるまう存在として設計される。本講演はその建前を裏返し、「AIを”個人のための道具”にすると何が起こるか」を問う。大阪芸術大学アートサイエンス学科がアルスエレクトロニカなどで発表してきた作品群を証拠として用いる。親切な推薦に導かれるうちに最適化されるのが自分自身だと気づく”Sweet Orders”、ハラスメントや吃音といった非対称をAIに肩代わりさせる作品群、AIバーテンダーが先に来た客だけを贔屓する新作、そして同じ十五秒が観測する立場によって三度別の出来事になる最新作。SFが未来を物語として描くのに対し、作品群はその未来を身体で体験させる。擬似体験によって、物語が捨象した問題——多人数性、両義性、選ばれる快の共犯性——が浮かび上がる。だからアートは問題に先回りできる。「超生成」の先にあるのは、何を生成できるかではなく、誰のために生成するかを考えることにある。
AI is designed to be Helpful, Harmless, and Honest — to treat everyone alike. This keynote turns that premise over and asks: what happens when AI becomes a tool “for the individual”? The evidence comes from works produced at the Department of Art Science, Osaka University of Arts, and shown at Ars Electronica and elsewhere: Sweet Orders, where kindly optimization ends with the visitor discovering that the thing being optimized is themselves; a group of works that hand asymmetries such as harassment and stuttering over to AI instead of to people; a new piece in which an AI bartender favors only the customer who arrived first; and a further new piece in which the same fifteen seconds becomes three different events depending on who observes it. Science fiction narrates the future; these works let visitors live it in their own bodies. Simulated experience surfaces what narrative leaves out — plurality, ambivalence, the complicity of enjoying being chosen. That is how art gets ahead of the problem. Beyond generation, what matters is not what AI can generate, but that we think about whom it generates for.
